William Fuller

It is with great sadness that we report the death of William Fuller, the founding director of Four Wheel Traction, in May 2007. William saw the potential for four wheel drive in tractors along with others such as Salene, Roadless and County, and pursued the concept whole-heartedly in the late 1960s. Friends of Ferguson Heritage Magazine described William as one of the 'unsung heros' of agricultural development, and his conversions have certainly stood the test of time, with so many models still running today. Lest his legacy should die with him, his family have endeavoured to keep the company very much alive so that farmers and collectors can keep their vehicles running.

William's contribution to tractor development was acknowledged in the foreword of the July edition of Tractor and Machinery magazine.
