This is the official company site of Four Wheel Traction, the engineering firm which specialised in four wheel drive conversions for Massey Fergusons, and power steering conversions for both Massey Ferguson and Ford tractors. Four Wheel Traction manufactured approximately 1500 four wheel drive conversion kits for Massey Ferguson 135, 165, 175/8 and 185/8 models between 1968 and the late 1980s. The company continues to support collectors and farmers in keeping their vehicles running, or in restoring vehicles to their former glory. Aside from four wheel drive conversions and power steering kits, the company has also produced a limited number of creep speed and super-slow gearboxes, as well as power steering conversions for Land Rovers. There were also a number of prototype engineering projects undertaken, not all of which made it into full production.
